The Barauni Renery currently has a capacity of 6 MMTPA, which
is set to increase to 9 MMTPA as part of an ongoing expansion Unique Asset
project that includes the development of advanced
petrochemical facilities. In alignment with the 'Make in India'
initiative, the renery underwent a Coker revamp and DHDT In 2022, a new indJet Unit based on
revamp in 2017. To further bolster petrochemical production, a indigenous technology of IndianOil
proposed Polypropylene Unit is also in the pipeline, placing the R&D and EIL as process licensor was
