Laying Foundation for Future
edicated to the nation in 1965, Barauni Renery is
DIndianOil's second renery, constructed with collaboration
from the Soviet Union at an approximate cost of INR 49.4 crore.
Spanning 800 acres, the renery is strategically located 125
kilometers (78 miles) from Patna, in the industrial town of
Barauni, situated along the banks of the Ganges River in the
Begusarai district of Bihar. It is positioned at the junction of two
signicant railway lines: the Eastern Railways and the North-
Eastern Railways. Additionally, the renery is within 60
kilometers of notable landmarks such as the Indradamneshwar
Mahadev Temple, Kakolat Waterfalls, and Maner Sharif.
